'Sex-Probation Priest' Father Jose Alexis Davila Has Vanished
The Diocese of San Diego has no comment about the priest they supported though he was put on probation for sexual abusing a woman last year on New Year's Eve.
Fr. Jose Alexis Davila, the associate pastor of St. Jude Shrine of the West, went to a young woman’s Southcrest home and forced himself on her. She called the police and he was arrested.
Of course, parishioners and the priest’s friends rallied on behalf of the priest. In an ungodly attempt to get the victim to recant her story, parishioners supporting the priest formed a “lynch mob” at the victim’s mother’s home. Fortunately, it didn’t work.
In April, Davila pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of “unlawful touching of an intimate part” and was sentenced to probation.
Reports state in May, which was less than one month after his guilty plea, a reporter received an anonymous call from a parishioner at St. Jude Shrine of the West. The caller was disgusted that Davila was back on the job and working with women and children.
The Diocese was asked why the priest was put back in the parish and here's what Bishop Robert Brom stated in response:
The Diocese of San Diego and Father Alexis Davila have fully cooperated with law enforcement and all legitimate and pastoral concerns have been addressed as regards his case. The diocese has the gall to have a 'never mind' attitude about this man who has been charged with a sexual crime. They have taken upon themselves to let him back in. Wow!
Consequently, we have no reason to believe that women or children are at risk because of his return to ministry. He returned to St. Jude at the beginning of May.
Now, Father Davila has vanished and the Diocese has made no announcement about his absence. No one knows where he is and what harm he may be causing, if any, to another victim. Some say the diocese has 'dumped' him somewhere out of sight.
Report says:
The only clues we have are in Davila’s self-congratulatory YouTube Channel, where he paints himself as a rock star and posts videos of himself with men like Salt Lake City Bishop Charles Wester, Pope John Paul II and lots of young women. He also claims to have been scuttled out of his country by “security personnel” in 2002.These church people will soon learn that hiding behind the church and excusing their guilty clergy will get them in bad graces with God. He's the only one that matters and trying to uphold their image will do no good on judgment day.
