Flashback: Former Philly Pastor Stands Accused of Murdering 1st Wife, And Charged for 2nd Wife’s Death

Former Pennsylvania pastor Arthur "A.B." Schirmer was considered a "serial philanderer, preying on women in his church" who were having trouble in their own marriages. Court documents say he's also a killer. While Schirmer was charged two years ago in the death of his second wife, he now stands accused of killing his first wife too.

Former ‘Sinister Minister’ Arthur Schirmer Faces Trial for Murder of First Wife

A former Methodist clergyman convicted of bludgeoning his second wife to death in 2008 now faces trial on whether he killed his first wife, too. Arthur Schirmer was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder and evidence tampering after a jury in the Poconos concluded he clubbed Betty Schirmer on the head with a crowbar, then loaded her into their PT Cruiser and staged a low-speed accident in an effort to conceal the crime.
